    Topic: Transperineal Ultrasound in Childbirth-related Pelvic Floor Trauma

    Women's health care has to be approached in a holistic way.For example, children at school, need to be educated about lots of things pertaining to their health. When they are a little bit older, they need to have proper sexual education when they're in the age that they are about to get married or about to have sexual intercourse. It's very important that women should be educated in these areas in order just to try to have anormal, quiet life, problem-free and symptom-free.

    Prof. Özgür Deren

    Head of Perinatology Department, Hacettepe University

    Topic: Twin Pregnancies

    If there is something that can be done by an obstetrician that will definitely improve the diagnosis because the screening is done usually by obstetricians. Definitely, the artificial systems will improve the screening quality. The other thing, the high definition ultrasound or more precise machines, will allow us to see the abnormalities of the features much earlier.

    ISUOG Ambassador to Latin America;
    Director of Teaching and Research, Argentine Society of Ultrasonography in Medicine and Biology (SAUMB);
    President-elect, Latin American Federation of Ultrasound Societies (FLAUS)

    Topic: Fetal Biometry and Growth, What you should know?

    Ultrasound is at a very high level. For diseases like pre-eclampsia and IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction), we don't need other imaging methods.

    However, in many parts of Latin America, the problem is not the machines, but that the patient doesn't know the potential problem, and sometimes the physicians don't know. So we need education for the mothers and for physicians, especially in some parts of our country away from city centers.
